Who was Siddha Muni ? Mention about Shri Siddha Muni in Shri Guru Charitra :

Adhyay 2 : Namadharak meets Shri Siddha Muni (This Place is now identified as Siddhanal near Ganagapur).

We dont get much details about Siddha Muni in Shri Guru Charitra. All that we know about him is through his Mention in Adhyay 13 that is when Shri Guru was at Prayag he had many disciples,they were Bal Saraswati, Krishna Saraswati, Upendra Saraswati, Madhav Saraswati, Sadanand Saraswati, Dnyanjyoti Saraswati and Shri Siddha as seven chief disciples. This was his First Meeting.

Also he is mentioned at some places like in Adhyay 16 when Shri Guru sent all the Disciples for Pilgrimage Siddha says to Namadharak that he alone Stayed with Shri Guru when he was at Vaijnath and also narrates the Incident of how a Brahmin was told about Guru Mahima.

Lastly he is Mentioned in 52nd Adhay when he says namadharak that 4 Disciples i.e Nandi Narahari Sayamdeo and himself accompanied Shri Guru till Patala Ganga.

Interesting thing is there is a Village named Siddhanal near Ganagapur where Siddha Muni is sopposed to have met Namdharak. and hence the Name Siddhanal. The First 2 Adhyays were narrated at this Place because in Adhyay 3 Siddha Muni takes Namdharak to Bhima-Amarja Sangam at Ganagapur and this can be seen in Shri Guru Charitra.
